RESEARCH:
Research in a hurry invites error, which is why your project will receive a guaranteed amount of time, as provided by your contract. You will receive a detailed log showing exactly where and what we were doing every step of the way.
FIELD RESEARCH:
This research for a group of clients gathers information not easily obtained online or at FHL’s nationwide. This may require trips to County or State sources if local, or via postal mail; it may require cross-country or international emails or phone calls; and it may require in person interviews.
When we have gathered all of this information, we study the data collected on your ancestry. We then evaluate the evidence, and mark pages so that you can spot the significant material easily. We then compile acid-free family groups and pedigree charts showing how the evidence fits together. Where questions exist, we will flag with post-it notes for extra study. All sheets are then placed in acid-free archival sleeves and inserted in a binder to organize these records.
You will be supplied with a full copy of all the raw data collected, along with maps and illustrations that support your project. Full source information is disclosed. And a professional genealogists report will be attached.
A full copy of your research file will remain with us for one full year should you ever require it.
